AEG staff performed Phase I and Phase II Engineering services for the construction of a new 28-mile long bike trail along the Calumet-Sag Channel. Coordinated and managed multiple co-sponsors, with the City of Palos Heights as the lead agency for the west segment and the City of Blue Island as the lead agency for the east segment.

New fabricated steel bridges were designed for construction at several streams, including slopewall modifications at numerous existing roadway bridge locations to allow the path to be constructed under the roadway adjacent to the channel.
