Under previous tenure, AEG staff was selected to perform Phase I/II Engineering services for the construction of a $6.6 million, 3-mile long bike trail meandering through the Edgebrook, Forest Glen and LaBagh Woods Forest Preserves between Devon Avenue and Foster Avenue in Chicago.

Coordination consisted of managing the expectations of the area residents and community; avoiding impact to high quality mature trees; avoiding impact to wetlands; avoiding impact to threatened and endangered species; coordination with Metra for a proposed 755-foot long structure and coordination with the US Coast Guard for a proposed 370-foot long structure over the North Branch Chicago River.
